We focus on the high-growth sectors: Energy & Power, Food & Agriculture, Hospitality & Leisure, and Healthcare
Energy & Power: Globally this is a sector with strong and sustainable growth prospects. This is even more true for the immature markets of Central and Eastern Europe were the imbalance between rapidly growing energy consumption and historical underinvestment creates highly attractive investment opportunities.
Food & Agriculture: Growing world population leads to imbalances between supply and demand for agricultural products. Combination of rising incomes and population increases demand at a significant rate. Expanding supply at the same rate is difficult because the amount of available land under cultivation is growing by only a fraction of a percent each year. In the world where commodities or food can be shipped anywhere, the countries such as Ukraine offer enormous investment opportunities due to their agricultural traditions, cheap labor, large untouched land, and top black soil.
Hospitality & Leisure: The imbalance between rapidly expanding business and leisure travel and the underinvestment in high level services in certain emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe creates a strong growth investment prospect, particularly in countries with generally high barriers of entry.
Healthcare: Rising incomes and living conditions, combined with population aging, increase demand for healthcare services. This is especially true for the immature markets of Central and Eastern Europe. The sector is less sensitive to the economic cycle and therefore presents attractive as well as non-cyclical investment prospect.
We also make investments in other sectors if we find exceptional opportunities there or a match with our existing investments.
